| SS Double Runic M40 WW2 Helmet
Item no: 000025 | | | C1940 | | Extremely rare and original Waffen SS double runic decal M1940 WW2 steel helmet from a private collection, retaining the majority of its age darkened field grey paint finish, with some surface abrasions commensurate with age and wear. The right side of the helmet retains approximately 80% of the first pattern SS decal whilst the left side has about 85% first pattern SS decal present. The interior rim is impressed with ET66 signifying Eisenhuttenwerke A G Thale as manufacturer. Interior has all rivets present and a Model M1931 tan supple leather liner showing moderate wear and age toning with all segments intact, bound with a tie string. Attached to the D rings is a manufacturer marked and dated leather chinstrap.
