Excellent pair of percussion boxlock .46bore belt pistols by Duerrs Egg, London, with spring bayonets operated by side catches, dolphin hammers, hidden triggers, belt hooks and top safetys. Very nice and unusual butt caps with silver inlay and finely chequered, walnut butts with vacant, losenge shaped escutchons. Turn-off, rifled, octagonal barrels having good proofs and both pistols having the matching number No38 to the underside of their crisply engraved bodies. A lovely pair of pistols in the crispest possible, full working condition. Overall length 21cms with bayonets extended 27cms
